Conditional conundrum

Sometimes we have the tendency to panic when we see a conditional sentence without the ‘if’ in the ‘if clause’.  Fair enough really seeing as though the clause is named after the little two letter word.  It’s really not something to get your knickers in a twist over though.  There are other words that we can use in varying contexts, but the tenses stay exactly the same.  Don’t think that just because ‘if’ has gone on holiday that all the rules have gone with him.
